Imprint Bothell Building Update - April 2026

Hey Imprint Church!

It's been almost a year since our last blog update on the Imprint Bothell Building Project and a lot has happened in that year!

If you are new to Imprint, feel free to go back through the blog posts and read a bit of the backstory, but here's the main gist: In an incredible story of God's grace overflowing to us we were gifted the Bothell building debt free!

In an effort to care for the property and our church, we brought a proposal to the church - to convert the warehouse into a new worship space and redo the parking lot to make it functional and fix some major drainage issues. We asked the church to pray over this proposal and, if they sensed that this was wise, to express that by pledging toward the project. The projected cost for the parking lot was $1.4 million. $1.5 million was pledged and in the end $1.6 million given.

In June 2025 we broke ground on the parking lot and the work was completed late last fall. Take a look at some photos of the process:

A large, excavated construction site filled with dirt and tire tracks, surrounded by orange safety fencing. Houses and trees are visible in the background.
A construction site featuring a large, excavated area with concrete retaining walls for a basin. An orange excavator is visible behind it near a church.

This could not have happened without the generosity of the Imprint family and we are so grateful for your partnership!

At the Family Meeting in March, we began to cast vision for the next part of the Bothell Building Project - remodeling the empty warehouse into a Gathering Room.  Acts 19:8-10 says,

"Paul entered the synagogue and spoke boldly over a period of three months, arguing and persuading them about the kingdom of God. But when some became hardened and would not believe, slandering the Way in front of the crowd, he withdrew from them, taking the disciples, and conducted discussions every day in the lecture hall of Tyrannus. This went on for two years, so that all the residents of Asia, both Jews and Greeks, heard the word of the Lord."

Paul uses a physical space - a lecture hall - to gather and strengthen disciples. After two years, the gospel had spread throughout an entire region.

This didn’t occur because all of Asia came to sit in that lecture hall and hear one man preach, but because ordinary believers were taught the word and then went out and shared it with people, who then shared it with others. The primary outreach strategy of the early church wasn’t “come and see.” It was equipping believers to “go and tell.”

While it’s true that our current worship space in Bothell is too small for our current needs and we need more room to invite our neighbors to “come and see,” the vision behind remodeling the warehouse isn’t simply to create a bigger room. It’s to create a space - like the lecture hall - where disciples are formed in the word of God and equipped to “go and tell.”

With that in mind, here's an update on the next phase of the Building Project:

Financially, we are in the process of gather additional quotes and our best guess estimate is that Phase 2 will cost about $2.5 million. While that number is not small, it's helpful to keep in mind that we were gifted the $4 million property and currently have no debt across our three locations.

So, similar to what we did two years ago, we're inviting you into a 40-day season of prayer for the Bothell Building Project along with a prayerful consideration of financial support. It's important to note that some households originally pledged to give over three years and still have one year remaining. We're not asking you to give more on top of that. Simply continue your commitment, and if when that concludes you feel led to keep giving, you are welcome to do so.

At the same time, many have joined Imprint Church in the last two years, and we want to invite them to participate in what God is doing at Imprint Church.

When we asked for pledges for the parking lot, the hope was to pay for it without taking out a loan, and by God's grace we were able to do this! This time, our hope is to raise as much as we can with a willingness to finance the remainder if needed.

As you prayerfully consider the Bothell Building Project, keep 2 Corinthians 8:12 in mind:

"For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what a person has - not according to what he does not have."

God cares most about the posture of our heart - not the amount.

All that said, here are some important dates to keep in mind:

May 9 - Imprint Bothell will host a prayer-focused Open House. Drop in any time between 11am and 1pm to walk the space, pray, and envision what it could become. A light lunch will be provided.

May 17 - All three locations will have a "Pledge Sunday," where we will invite you to consider a commitment above and beyond your normal giving.

May 31 - We will report back to the church what was pledged.

Thank you, Imprint Church, for your partnership in the Bothell Building Project!
